Chelsea under pressure for FA Cup win

Chelsea could bring some pride back to the team tonight. The Blues will face Southend in a FA Cup third round replay.

The London side could only manage a 1-1 draw with the League One side in their last meeting. Chelsea will be under pressure to get a good result after they were thrashed 3-0 by Manchester United last weekend.

They will want nothing less than a win as their last victory was against bottom of the log West Brom in December.

Southend will also fancy their chances this evening after holding Chelsea to a draw. However Blues coach Luiz Felipe Scolari says, his team must match their apponents desire.

"If our spirit is not the same spirit as Southend players it will be difficult to win but if we have the same spirit and if we are thinking about (winning) the FA Cup, we have a very good chance (to win) against Southend. We have good players and are a better technical side but we must prove it on the pi! tch."

Meanwhile reports have suggested that striker Didier Drogba has been told he can leave the club. This comes after the Ivory Coast international was dropped from the squad for tonight's match.

Scolari says he won't put pressure on players to stay if they don't want to.

Newcastle and Hull face each other in an all premier league affair, both teams will be looking to progress after they played two a 2-2 draw previously.
